Tauranga: Anya Shrubsole on Wednesday became the only sixth England bowler to complete 100 One-Day International (ODI) wickets. The pacer achieved the feat during a Women’s World Cup 2022 match against India at the Bay Oval. She joined the elite club led by Katherine Brunt (164 wickets in 133 innings). Shrubsole clean bowled Yastika Bhatia through bat and pad to bring up 100 ODI wickets. She then went onto claim the big scalp of Mithali Raj, equalling with former England pacer Isa Guha (101 wickets in 81 innings). Jenny Gunn (136 wickets), Laura Marsh (129 wickets) and Clare Taylor (102 wickets) sit on the second, third and fourth spots in England’s most wickets chart. UNI PN
