Derby (England): India Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara and Pakistan’s batting mainstay Mohammad Rizwan on Thursday made their debut together for Sussex County Cricket Club. Both the cricketers had signed up to play for Sussex last year. While Pujara has played county cricket in England in the past, it is the first outing for Rizwan. Sussex is playing against hosts Derbyshire in the County Championships at the Incora County Ground. Ian Salisbury, the head coach of Sussex, included both Pujara and Rizwan, saying, “I am extremely excited to be able to bring in players of Rizwan and Pujara’s quality into the side. “Not only are they absolute world-class cricketers that will boost our performances on the pitch, but to have them around the boys and in the dressing room can only be a positive.” UNI PN
