Srinagar, April 21: Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh on Tuesday highlighted major governance reforms, noting a sharp rise in participation in the Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence and increased public engagement in grievance redressal systems.
Addressing the 18th Civil Services Day, he said entries for the awards grew from 1,216 in 2023 to over 2,000 in 2025 across 750 districts. The iGOT Karmayogi platform has enrolled over 88 lakh officials, while complaints on CPGRAMS surged to 25–30 lakh annually, with over 95% resolved in about 12 days.
The minister underlined a shift towards citizen-centric and technology-driven governance, citing pension reforms, removal of outdated rules, and expansion of Mission Karmayogi initiatives. He said these steps aim to improve transparency, accountability, and service delivery.
Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan presided over the event, which was attended by top administrative officials.(KINS)
