First, we must acknowledge the swift action of the Jammu and Kashmir Police. Their diligence in investigating this heartbreaking incident has been commendable. We trust that the judicial process will now take its course with fairness and sensitivity, ensuring that justice is served for all involved.
However, to treat this as merely a police case and then move on would be a grave disservice to the memory of this child and to the future of all our children. This is not just a crime; it is a devastating symptom of a deeper sickness within our homes and our society. It is a piercing alarm bell that we cannot afford to ignore.
