Mumbai: Aamir Khan and his upcoming “Lal Singh Chadda” has become the target of much trolling by netizens with many asking for a boycott of his film. The relentless attacks on the “Dangal” actor started Sunday evening, following his comment of “The Kashmir Files” that did not go down well with many. The hashtag #BoycottLalSinghChadda is trending on Twitter on Tuesday. Attending a promotion event of SS Rajamouli’s “RRR”, Aamir Khan had spoken favourably of “The Kashmir Files” stating “This film has touched the emotions of all people who believe in humanity and that is what is so beautiful about it. I will definitely watch the film and I am happy to see that the film is successful.” However netizens have not bought the actor’s statement regarding the film calling it a mere gimmick to promote his film and save it at the box office. A netizen wrote “Once a jihadi, always a Jihadi don’t trust Amir Khan. In fear with while people ignore the movie #LalSinghChaddha he asked to watch the movie #TheKashmirFiles.” Another netizen tweeted, “These people are the wolf in sheep body. Never trust them . Now Aamir will do anything to get public attention for his movie. We are not falling for this trap. #AamirKhan #LalSinghChaddha #BoycottBollywood #BoycottKhans.” Another wrote, “Amirkhan is doing this just to promote his new movie #LalSinghChaddha by saying about #KashmirFiles, yes we should all boycott his movie.if he was so emotional about kashmir genocide then where these all talks were earlier?” A Twitter user called Amir Khan a propaganda supporter and wrote “Aamir Khan who once sided with the award waapsi gang and called India as intolerant is suddenly endorsing The Kashmir Files. Many thanks but we don’t need it Once a propaganda supporter, always a propaganda supporter.” One netizen shared a picture of the actor meeting the Turkish First Lady and captioned” Forgot this pic of Aamir Khan with Turkish First lady? It was clicked at same time when Turkey was openly supporting Pakistan & advocating the separation of Kashmir from India.. Instead of watching this remake #LalSinghChaddha, watch the original movie “Forrest Gump”. “Lal Singh Chadda” is an official Hindi adaptation of the 1994 classic Hollywood film “Forrest Gump” which was directed by Robert Zemeckis and starred Tom Hanks. “Lal Singh Chadda” is directed by Advait Chandan and stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya (in his Bollywood debut), Mona Singh, Manav Vij, Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo, also Salman Khan is in the film but his role has not been revealed.
