Srinagar, 05 September/ Aijaz Baba: As part of the ongoing series of the Rangdhara Weekly Theatre Festival, the artists of Mahak Dramatic Club Srinagar enthralled the audience with a remarkable performance at Tagore Hall, Srinagar. During the weekly Rangdhara Theatre Festival organized by the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, the artists of the club staged the Kashmiri play “Moj” (Mother), written by Shehnaz Mushtaq and directed by Farhat Siddiqui, which received immense applause from the audience.
The performances of the actors—including Jan Majrooh, Shehnaz Mushtaq, Mahjabeen Anxari, Master Muntaẓir, Baby Hoorain, Farhat Siddiqui, and Gulfam Barji—were highly appreciated by theatre enthusiasts. The storyline of the play revolves around the greatness of motherhood.
In the background, Hilal Khan, Shabir Haqqaq, Tanveer Dar, Ali Mehdi, Sofi Fatima, and Rohit Bhat also contributed. On the occasion, Adeel Saleem, Additional Secretary of the Cultural Academy, attended the event as the chief guest, while Mushtaq Ali Ahmad Khan, Gul Javed Khan, Fariq Sheikh, Hakeem Javed, Abdul Majeed Wani, Jahangir Farash, Parvez Ahmad, Khurshid Mir, Shehzad Shabir, and Muhammad Yousuf Shaheen were also present.
