Los Angeles: The famous Netflix coming of age comedy drama “Never Have I Ever” has been renewed for a fourth and final season. Season 3 which wrapped production in 2021 will stream sometime in summer while the production for Season 4 will commence on 2023. Confirmed by co creator Mindy Kaling who took to social media and said: “Hey Crickets, we’ve got some morning announcements for you: Season 3 of ‘Never Have I Ever’ is gonna drop this summer! Plus we’ve just been renewed for a fourth and final season, which we are absolutely thrilled about. “We can’t wait to reveal all the steamy romance and hilarious adventures we have in store for you. Thanks to all our fans for your support – especially you #Bevi and #Daxton stans. We love you!” Created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher and produced by Universal Television, in association with 3 Arts Entertainment, Original Langster and Kaling International. The show centers around the life of Indian American teenage girl who is caught in a tornado with her life fluxing between various moments, balancing the constraints of her family life, the death of her father and dealing with her own sorrow, a convoluted love triangle, an arc of friendships etc. The first season performed extremely well, with 40 million households tuning in during its first four weeks. It also made a star out of newcomer Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, who plays Devi Vishwakumar, and the Canadian subsequently signed up to star in Netflix rom-com The Netherfield Girls, to voice the role of Priya in Pixar’s Turning Red and to voice Zipp Storm in a number of My Little Pony animated series. The Season 2 of the show which launched in July 2021, was focused on Devi’s boy troubles, teenage desperation and competition from a new Asian-origin student from Bangladesh. When choosing between Paxton (Darren Barnet) and Ben (Jaren Lewison) becomes too much of a conflict, she decides to take on both boys and cheating on both of them. The show also stars Poorna Jaganathan as Dr. Nalini Vishwakumar, Darren Barnet as Paxton Hall Yoshida, Jaren Lewison as Benjamin “Ben” Gross, Richa Moorjani as Kamala Nandiwadal and the tennis legend John McEnroe as himself, the narrator of the first season, while dotted with other narrators like Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Andy Samberg, besides others Ramona Young as Eleanor Wong, Lee Rodriguez as Fabiola Torres in its cast.
