Vijayawada: Telugu Desam Party National President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday slammed the YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh for imposing ‘politically motivated restrictions’ on the Bheemla Nayak film starred by Janasena Party Chief K Pawan Kalyan. Mr Naidu alleged that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was targetting and victimising each and every sector in the state. The Chief Minister has started harassing the film industry despite its impressive service in the entertainment sector, he said. In a tweet here, the TDP Chief strongly condemned the manner in which the state government was destroying systems for taking revenge against persons. “Why should Bheemla Nayak film ticket rates be regulated when there were no such restrictions for Bharati cement?”, he asked. The former Chief Minister described as ‘Government terrorism’ the Jagan Reddy regime’s vindictive approach towards the release of Bheemla Nayak movie. The Government was acting vengefully by selecting individuals as targets. The Chief Minister should stop his adamant policy towards the Telugu cinema industry which has risen to international fame with its excellence and merit, Mr Naidu said. He strongly objected to posting revenue employees to keep a watch at theatres. The Government apparently set aside all of the people’s problems and considered vendetta politics as a priority. The manner in which the Bheemla Nayak movie was being targetted was highly objectionable, the TDP Chief said. Mr Naidu said while all other States were making all out efforts for safe return of their people stranded in Ukraine, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister was busy with his vendetta activities. The TDP would never hesitate to question when a wrong was committed by anybody, he asserted. The leader of the opposition demanded that the Government immediately stop its harassment attitude towards Bheemla Nayak film. UNI DP CS1404
