Srinagar, Nov 21: Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two associates of proscribed militant outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad fromTral and Pampore areas of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
According police issued a statement regarding the arrests in which it said that two militant associates affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammad were arrested from Tral and Pampore areas that according to police were providing shelter, support, logistics, transport to militants in Pampore and Tral areas and were passing sensitive information to the militants of outfit JeM.
“The arrested militant associates have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Chopan resident of Wagad Tral and Mursaleen Bashir Sheikh, resident of Chatlam Pampore,” the statement added.
Police also claimed to have recovered incriminating material from the possession of the arrested duo.
Meanwhile police have registered a case under F.I.R number 96/2020 and 90/2020 against arrested persons in the concerned Police Stations, Tral and Pampore respectively under relevant sections of the law. (KDC)
