Srinagar, June 06: Kashmir valley has been declared as a red zone except two districts of Bandipora and Ganderbal by the Jammu and Kashmir government on Sunday, ahead of extension of lockdown with relaxations.
Pertinently, all districts of Kashmir valley except two districts and one in Jammu division has been declared as Red zone as per the order issued by Chief Secretary J&K, B V R Subrahmanyam.
As per the order all districts of Kashmir province except Ganderbal and Bandipora and Ramban district of Jammu province fall under Red Zone category, Kuthwa, Samba, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Raesi, Udhampur, Poonch, Rajori and Jammu fall under Orange Zone category while as Doda and Kishtwar are the only district which figure in Green zone category.
The order further reads as ,” The categorization of the districts into Red, Orange and Green will be followed for the purpose of implementation of permitted activities in the respected districts, as per the separate order to be issued by the state executive Commission(SEC).”
Moreover, the categorization will be reviewed periodically by the government.(KNB)
