Srinagar, July 3: A delegation of Gandhi Global Family (GGF), Kashmir Chapter, led by its J&K President, Padma Shri Dr. S.P. Varma, today called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan and appreciated the remarkable impact of the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan in combating the growing menace of drug abuse across the Union Territory.
During the meeting, the delegation lauded the sustained efforts of the J&K Administration in creating awareness against substance abuse and promoting a drug-free society through coordinated community participation and institutional support.
The Lieutenant Governor appreciated the social initiatives undertaken by Gandhi Global Family and urged its members to continue their dedicated efforts towards promoting peace, communal harmony, environmental conservation, youth empowerment, and women empowerment. He emphasized the vital role of civil society organizations in fostering inclusive development and strengthening social values.
The delegation comprised Padma Shri Dr. S.P. Varma, Padma Shri Haji Ghulam Nabi Dar, Padma Shri Fasil Ali Dar, Padma Shri Fayaz Ahmad Jan, Padma Shri Ghulam Rasool Khan, Padma Shri Javeed Ahmad Tak, Dr. Mehjabeena Nabi, Tripta Varma, S. The members reaffirmed their commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at building a healthier, peaceful, and socially responsible Jammu and Kashmir.
