Srinagar, April 24: The State President of the Gujjar Bakerwal Youth Welfare Conference and Convener of the Forest Rights Coalition, Zahid Parwaz Choudhary, along with District President Ganderbal Choudhary Sajad Kasana, DDC Kangan B Mian Amjad Nizame, MLA Kangan Mian Mehar Ali, and District President of Gujjar Bakerwal Conference & Central Kashmir Incharge of Forest Rights Coalition Choudhary Bashir Tedwa, & Gujjar Bakerwal Youth Conference District president Ganderbal Choudhary Shabir Ahmad Naz have expressed profound sorrow and shock over the tragic accident that occurred in Pahalgam.
In a joint statement, the leaders condemned the incident and termed it highly unfortunate.
They extended their heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.
The leaders also urged the government to take the incident seriously and initiate a time-bound investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident and ensure accountability.
They stressed the need for improved safety measures in such tourist and hilly areas to prevent such mishaps in the future.
