PULWAMA: The Mission Director (MD) Jal Jeevan Mission, Jammu & Kashmir, Khurshid Ahmad Shah conducted an extensive review of the progress of various ongoing water supply schemes being executed in District Pulwama.
During the meeting, the Mission Director urged the teams to ensure the completion of all ongoing schemes by or before March 2025. Executive Engineers from JSD Pulwama and Awantipora reported that out of the total 93 and 90 schemes in their respective areas, 61 and 73 schemes have already been successfully completed.
The Executive Engineer of Mechanical Division South Awantipora briefed the chair regarding the status of electro-mechanical works and the installation of electric substations. Additionally, the Executive Engineer of GWD Srinagar shared progress on the exploration and commissioning of tube wells in the district.
The Mission Director emphasized the importance of expediting the remaining works to ensure uninterrupted water supply for the residents of Pulwama. The meeting underscored the commitment of the administration to achieving the goals of Jal Jeevan Mission in a timely and efficient manner.
The review meeting was attended by Executive Engineers from JSD Pulwama and Awantipora, along with AEEs and JEs, besides Executive Engineer of GWD Srinagar, Executive Engineer of Mechanical Division South Awantipora and Executive Engineer of R&B Division Pulwama. Teams from DPMU Pulwama and the TPIA were also present to provide updates.
