Srinagar,: Deputy Inspector General Shastra Seema Bal, Imtiaz Ismail Parray (IPS), on Friday unfurled National Flag and took salute at the parade ceremony held on the occasion of 75th Republic Day, here at Rangreth.
The DIG on the occasion dwelled on the essence of the day and the honour and pride associated with the occasion.
The message of the Director General SSB to the personnel was also read out on the occasion, where best wishes were communicated to the members of the force and their families. The officer in his message appreciated the work of the SSB across the Country.
On the eve, the names of the Officers and Officials honoured by the President of India with Medals for Gallantry, Distinguished Services (PSM) and Meritorious Services (MSM) were also read out to the participants.
The recipients of DG’s ‘Disc’ with Commendation Certificates were also given, following which the event concluded with a high tea of personnel with officers and officials of the Sector.(GNS)
