Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir is expected to witness widespread intermittent light to moderate rain and snowfall, over higher reaches, due intense western disturbance in next four days, weatherman said on Friday.
“Widespread intermittent light to moderate rain/snowfall over higher reaches is very likely from October 14-17. Heavy snowfall at some places over higher reaches cannot be ruled out (chances above 70%),” an official of the MeT office here told GNS.
He said significant drop in temperature was expected across Jammu and Kashmir due to the weather system .
The MeT department also urged farmers to postpone harvesting of crops from October 14-18
It said there may be temporarily disruption of transportation especially at vulnerable places like Zojila, Mugal Road, Sinthantop, Sadnatop etc.(GNS)
