GANDERBAL : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today distributed Honey Bee Colonies among beneficiaries during an event organised by Department of Agriculture District Ganderbal.
As many as 260 Honey Bee Colonies were distributed among 45 identified benefecaries of Block Gund for establishment of Apiculture development Units for livelihood generation under Aspirational Block Development Program (ABDP).
While interacting with the beneficiaries the DC stressed upon the gathering especially unemployed youth to come forward and avail the benefits under different employment generation schemes of the department viz apiculture,mushroom cultivation, protected vegetable cultivation and mechanised farming.
The event was also attended by ADDC Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, Chief Planning Officer Gandebal, Sub District Magistrate Kangan besides officers from department of Agriculture Department.
