Srinagar : A woman was killed and seven other passengers suffered injuries after a passenger cab they were on board rolled down into a deep gorge along Srinagar-Jammu highway on Friday afternoon.
Reports reaching GNS that a ‘Xylo’ (UP23HL 6527) on way from Jammu towards Srinagar through Jawahar tunnel rolled down into a deep gorge at Gutigund Verinag near Zig post, resulting in injuries to eight persons. The injured persons were evacuated to a hospital at Qazigund, where one Sheeba Iraqi of Uttar Pradesh was declared as brought dead on arrival.
Among the injured, two have been referred to DH Anantnag for preferential treatment. (GNS)
