Srinagar: A militant and soldier were killed as army foiled an infiltration bid in Tangdhar sector of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday.
Official sources told GNS that one unidentified militant was killed during the infiltration bid while as search for other militant is on.
Meanwhile an Army soldier of 6-JAK Rifle identified as Jasvir Singh also received bullet wound during exchange of fire. He was shifted to hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries, they said.
Meanwhile from the possession of slain militant, one AK-47, 4 pistols, 3 AK-47 Magazines, 3 Pistol Magazines, 5 hand grenades and ammunition recovered, they said.(GNS)
