New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh chief minister designate Yogi Adityanath visited Delhi on Wednesday to discuss government formation in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the swearing in ceremony scheduled for Friday. Adityanath, who attended the swearing in ceremony of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in Dehradun on Wednesday morning, came to Delhi late in the evening, and met BJP President JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah, who is the party’s central observer for overseeing the process of government formation in UP. UP’s poll in charge Dharmendra Pradhan and party General Secretary BL Santosh were also present at the meeting held at Shah’s residence. Sources said the names for the state cabinet were discussed. Adityanath’s oath taking ceremony as chief minister for a historic second consecutive term at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana stadium on Friday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president JP Nadda will be among the dignitaries attending the ceremony. On Thursday, the newly elected BJP MLAs will elect Adityanath as the leader of the legislature party in the presence of Shah and other party senior leaders. BJP has 255 members in the 403-seat state assembly. Around 50 ministers will also be administered oath of office by Governor Anandiben Patel. UNI AO SHK2336
