Maimana : Two children were injured when an explosive device went off in Maimana city, the capital city of northern Faryab province on Friday, the state-run news agency Bakhtar reported Saturday. Quoting Faizullah, a relative of the ill-fated children, the news agency said the children were playing on a ground in Police District 9 of Maimana city when the device left over from the past years of wars exploded suddenly. One of the children was seriously injured and is now in critical condition. Police have yet to make comments on the incident. UNI/XINHUA VP SY 1227
