Jaunpur : Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said that it was the result of able leadership and diplomatic acumen of Prime Minister Narendra that today, no country has the status to threaten India. Addressing a rally in Malhani Assembly constituency, Rajnath said, “We don’t want to attack any country, but if any country stares at us, then we carry out surgical strikes also. We have done so. We will not allow India to bow down.” He said from the ongoing Assembly elections, it had become clear that the public of Uttar Pradesh was going to create history by making the candidates of Bharatiya Janata Party victorious. “The speed with which the Narendra Modi government at the Centre and the Yogi government in the state have done development works, it has not been done by any political party till date. Being considered as a sick state till a few years back, UP has emerged as an example in terms of development,” he said. The Defence Minister said that when BJP formed the government in the state in 2017, UP was at 12th position in terms of development. “Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has carried out development works at such a speed that it has become number two. We will fulfill our resolve to provide ‘pucca’ houses and tapped water to all in the next two years,” he added. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought such a change that money from the government schemes reaches directly in the hands and bank accounts of the beneficiaries. “We not only carried free vaccination programme by developing the vaccines, but also exported them to other countries. Respect for India has increased worldwide,” he claimed. Rajnath said the BJP government has framed the citizenship law for the Hindus, Sikhs and Christians, who lead a miserable life in Pakistan, Afghanistan or other countries. “So that if anyone wants to come to India, he or she can come here and we will give them Indian citizenship,” added the Defence Minister.
