New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday arrested two alleged absconding people in a case related to the death of Avijit Sarkar in post-poll violence in West Bengal. The two accused were among those twelve absconders in a case in which twenty accused were chargesheeted earlier, said CBI spokesperson. CBI had registered the instant case on August 25 last year, following the order of Calcutta High Court and had taken over the investigation of a case, earlier registered at Narkeldanga Police Station in Kolkata on a complaint. The case was registered against unknown 7-8 people on the allegations that the accused allegedly attacked the victim with sticks and also broke the household articles. The victim was rescued but due to being beaten brutally, he was shifted to hospital, CBI said. A charge sheet against 20 accused was filed in the Court of ACJM, Sealdah on September 30 last year. Both were produced before the Court in Kolkata and remanded to two days Police Custody, CBI said. UNI CM RJ
