New Delhi : India recorded 50,407 new Covid-19 cases, as the daily positivity rate stood at 3.48 percent, as per the Health Ministry data on Saturday. The country also recorded 804 fresh Covid fatalities, taking the total death count in the country from coronavirus to 50,7981 The number of active cases currently stand at 6,10,443 which now comprise 1.64 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has come down to 97.37 per cent. Meanwhile 1,36,962 recoveries were reported, increasing the total number of recovered cases to 4,1468,120. According to the Ministry as on Saturday 74.93 Crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far with a total of 14,50 532 tests being conducted on Friday. India has so far administered 172.29 Cr doses of Covid-19 vaccine under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. More than 170.41 crore crores vaccine doses have been provided to the States/UTs so far. Over 12.27 crores balance and unutilized Covid vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered, the ministry said. UNI JA ACL1119
