By Mir Afroz Zaman Dhaka: Vehicle maker Ashok Leyland is to sell 200 trucks to Bangladesh as part of a $2 billion Indian Line of Credit. A part of it has already been delivered. Ashok Leyland had earlier received an order for 135 trucks including three-tonne vehicles, hydraulic beam lifter and sewerage sucker based on a tender floated by the Bangladesh government. These have been handed over to the country’s Roads and Highways Department. The company received another order for 65 specialised vehicles to be deployed for highway applications. Ashok Leyland’s head of International Operations Amandeep Singh told the media that Bangladesh was one of its key export markets. UNI MAZ MR
