Moscow: Bitcoin lost over 9 per cent of its value on Saturday dropping to below $35,000 for the first time since July 2021, according to trading data.
Data from the largest cryptocurrency exchange in terms of trading volume, Binance, showed that Bitcoin fell down to $35,400, losing 8.9 per cent, and the CoinMarketCap portal that calculates an average price at over 20 stock exchanges, said that the cryptocurrency plummeted to $34,900, losing 9 per cent in the past 24 hours.
As of 15:00 GMT, Bitcoin returned to over $35,100.
A similar decrease occurred in July 2021, when Bitcoin was trading at below $35,000.
