Q:What is the present situation of covid _19 in District pulwama?
Mr Baseer Choudhary Stated that the overall situation of covid is under control .As per data, the positive cases per day does not exceed 6 to 7.Death rate is zero and the positivity rate is less than 1%and the bed occupancy is zero .Oxygen supported beds in the district are nearly about 500.
Q:2 When is the Covid-19 dedicated 200 bedded hospital going to be completed?
It will ready within weeks time. It includes RTPCR labs, operation theatres and also has all the necessary facilities required for the covid mitigation and management and it will be inaugurated soon.
Q;3 How many people have been vaccinated in your district so far?
The people of age group of 45+ years are 100% vaccinated in Pulwama district .He also said that the age group of 18 to 45 years are 25%vaccinated. Baseer Choudhary also added that shopkeeper, vendors ,transporters, people related to the essential services and education department and students are our top most priority for the covid 19 vaccination .So that schools ,colleges, markets, transports can function normally .Regarding the covid 19 appropriate behaviour he added that 4500 covid tests are done on daily basis. He also added that our joint team is working hard for the implementation of covid appropriate behaviour. Mr Baseer Choudhary also praised the medical department of district pulwama .He said that they played an important role along with line departments in managing the covid situation. As a result there are less than 1% positivity rate, single digit cases and zero bed occupancy. They also managed oxygen support system very effectively.
Q:4 In the last two years , how much development has taken place in pulwama?
Mr Baseer Choudhary Stated that earlier district plan limited to Rs 138 crores, which has now increased to Rs 407crores. This plans is people’s plan in which panches,sarpanches, BDCs and DDCs have particitated and also approved by the district Development council(DDC). This plan fulfils the need, challenges and aspirations of pulwama . And now we are working on different projects.
Q: 5 Is there any patient suffering from new variant of covid Delta in your district ?
Mr Baseer Choudhary said no there is not a single cases in our district have been reported yet.For more covid management and appropriate behavior we are just starting an awareness drive in our district on a large scale, which will be launched within 2 or 3 days so that public can be awared in order to avoid third wave of corona.Q:6 what is ayushman bahart scheme ? It is universal health coverage scheme launched by the government of India. On the directions of HLG J&K, Shri Manoj Sinha, a review meeting was held on 15th of July and its coverage in our district is about 35 percent. Today the rate of coverage is 82 % and our target of 100% will be completed by 15th of August.
Q7Did ayushman bahart scheme provide any benefits to the youth of pulwama?
Mr Baseer choudhary said yes . Anyone who have golden card can avail its benefits. The main benefits of this ayushman scheme is for those people who cannot pay hospital bills. Anyone can use this scheme whether he or she is BPL (below poverty line), rich or poor. With the help of golden card issued under ayushman bharat anyone can get free treatment if he or she is admitted in the hospital.
Q: 8 what facilities are available for drug additicted people in your area?
Mr Baseer choudhary said that in our area, there are counseling centers to tackle the drug addicts. Not only facilities but also different different alternative platforms are available for drug addicts so that they can live their lives in a graceful manner. The first thing is, if the youth is involved in drugs we can see how can we provide him/her employement opportunity under prime minister employment generation program (PMEGP) other than that youth can work in allied activities like vegetables growing , sheep husbandry, fisheries, sericulture etc . Youth can also set up processing industry or processing units which falls under MSME. In this way they can generate employment opportunities not only for themself but also for others.Also youths are participated in sports activities for that, on the direction of HLG J&K we set up playgrounds in every panchayat. Out of 190 panchayat we have 82 have play fileds works on 51 play fileds in panchayats is under progress and in coming 15 days work for other Panchayats play fileds will also begin..Mr Baseer also added that with all this , we are also setting up district youth center in which whole youth of our Pulwama district will be provided with many facilities like library ,cafe, indoor games like badminton, tennis and other indoor games will be set up there . We provides all these platforms so that young can enter these platforms by leaving drugs behind and find new opportunities. In many areas we also running awareness camps. All this work can be successful only if parents and society will give equal support. That is why the involvement of families and society is very important.
Q;9 what is the role of women empowerment in district administration?
Mr Baseer Choudhary said that there is a big role of women empowerment in district administration . There is large percentage of women in all departments like education , social welfare, revenue, etc because of which there is a great decision making. There are 33 percent women reservation in PRIs and which play an important role in plan formulation also. In DDC there are many women members. The plan of council is above 407 crore and plans for the whole district have passed by the council. İn sports , education and in every field there is an important role of women . We have panchayat youth clubs in every panchayat in which we ensured that 40 percent members are female. Therefore, the participation of women in decision making and day to day activities have been increasing day by day
Q : 10 How many government schemes are implemented in your district Pulwama?
Mr Baseer said there are 32 centrally sponsored schemes(CCSs) and all these schemes are implemented in our district.
