Srinagar, July 14 : The Union Home Minister Amit Shah has called for increased surveillance on all fronts in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir to ensure safety and security of the people.
Sources said that the Home Minister gave directions to all the security agencies in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Home Minister Amit Shah lauded the role of Police and CRPF in maintaining law and order and ensuring security in J&K and advised heightened surveillance on all fronts to ensure safety and security of the people” sources maintained.
Sources said that top officials have also briefed the Home Minister about the present internal security situation and many important matters relating to law and order in J&K.
Sources said that Home Minister Amit shah emphasised upon the vital importance of regular review the security of all protected premises and also discussed various issues relating to welfare of security personnel and their families.
Sources said that praising the forces for professionalism, the LG said that forces in the UT are doing a commendable job on the anti-militancy front.
“If people sleep at ease, it is because of the forces who work tirelessly to protect the J&K UT from the evil forces,” he said.
Sources said that the HM stressed on the need for comprehensive reforms for dealing with the radicalization of youth and called for a regular monitoring of social media content.(KINS)
