Srinagar 24 June: In a long three and half hour crucial meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with top leadership of Jammu and Kashmir, most of the leaders discussed restoration of special status and statehood, sources said.
Sources informed that the meeting last for three and a half hour where most of the leaders discussed the restoration of special status and statehood.
According to Sources PM Modi told J&K leaders that he is committed on restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Talking to reporters outside PM residence in New Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari said that PM asked all to participate in the delimitation process. We have been assured that this is the roadmap towards elections. PM also said that we are committed to the restoration of statehood.
The talks were held in a good atmosphere today. The Prime Minister heard our issues of all leaders. PM said that election process will begin when delimitation process finishes, Altaf said.
Earlier, the meeting started at 3Pm in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Lieutenant Governer of J&K Manoj Sinha and top 14 leaders of Jammu and Kashmir attended the meeting.(KNS)
