Srinagar January 25: Continuing its efforts to reach out to the needy and destitute families, Srinagar Police in a humane gesture, distributed COVID-19 Safety Kits among the needy and poor families after imparting awareness about the Covid Virus. Prevailing pandemic of COVID-19 has resulted into unprecedented hardships to people worldwide and in its endeavours Srinagar Police reached out to the destitute families by way of providing Survival Ration Kits, Life Saving Medicine.
Medical Emergency
Distress calls attended and responded were 232,
medicines provided to 66 patients in need, Transport provided to 72
patients to reach hospital and assistance to 95 families to take the
patients to hospital.
Survival Kits
Distress calls received were 1732 and Survival Ration Kits were provided to 650 destitute families.
Today on 25.01.2021, Under Civic Action Programme, District Police Srinagar organized a function in which awareness about the COVID-19 virus was imparted to the gathering of beneficiaries and officers. Protection Kits were distributed among 93 BPL( Below Poverty Line) families of West Zone.
The function was presided over by SSP Srinagar Dr. M. Haseeb Mughal-JKPS and on the occasion SSP Srinagar shared some helpful thoughts with the gathering to aware them all about the precautions and prevention one must adhere to. SSP Srinagar emphasized upon some preventive measures in the times of pandemic, each one must follow.
1. Hand Wash
2. Cover Your Mouth & Nose with a Mask
3. Consult A Doctor If Sick
4. Avoid Close Contact and maintain the prescribed distance
5. Take proper precautions while using Public Transport
6. Don’t Panic in case you are affected by the Virus, get medical attention.
SP West Shahzad Salaria-JKPS was convenor of the programme and the officers of West Zone SDPO Panthchowk , SDPO West, SHO Parimpora, SHO Nowgam, DO Bemina and DO Qamarwari attended the said function at Police Station Parimpora.
The distributed Kit contained following items,
1. Digital Thermometer = 01 No.
2. Oxymeter = 01 No.
3. Masks = 27 Nos
4. Sanitizers = 04 Bottles.
5. Hand Gloves = 01 Box
6. Face Shields = 12 Nos. (KNS)
