Baramulla , Jan 19: High Court put stays on Order of Executive Officer Mc Baramulla in which he has removed President MCB Omar Azhar Kakroo.
As per High Court order of Dated 15-1-2021 ,Omar Kakroo is continuing as President Municipal Council Baramulla till final decision is not recieved from High court regarding No-confidence motion which was submitted earlier and later withdrawn.The next date of hearing is 17th March 2021.
Kakroo talking with media said that ” I am happy and satisfied with the Highcourt order cum direction in my favour, which proves my genuiness and i was having full faith that there is someone who will listen my plea. He said removing me illegally without follow up of proper procedure was clear violation of J&K Municipal Act.”
He further said that “i am working from last 2 years for my general public in good faith and gesture.
He further told that during his presidency period, many machinery, instruments and equipments have been purchased including Suction machine ,Garbage Hoopers etc.
He further told that a project have been initiated with the help of his Councillors from last 2 years, which will be completed/ started in coming months, includes Door to Door collection of Garbage from household and commercial activities, 100% Street lights in the town, Completion of Janbaz wali (RA) Marriage Hall, Renovation of lanes and drains in all wards especially in old town, khanpora & khawaja bagh, Proper drainage system in Baramulla, Solid waste management Project, Construction of office complex, Construction of Parking place at Noor ul Huda market, Childrens park, Model library cum Press club ,Beautification of Town cum River banks, STPs and many other things.
He appealed general public of town, to put their valuable ideas for making this town a wonderful and beautiful City.
