Srinagar, December 30: The Director Animal Husbandry Department Kashmir Ms. Purnima Mittal (KAS) today visited Baramulla District to take a first hand account of/innagurate various units established under schemes including Integrated Dairy Development Scheme & Cattle Feed Processing Units & Fodder Development
The Director accompanied by Dr. Masood (TOG) was offered a warm welcome by Dr. S. M. Anwar Andrabi, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Baramulla along with BVO Pattan Dr. Parvez Ah.
To begin with the Director visited Palhallan to inspect Mini Tractor, Milking Machine and Chaff Cutter and Mamoosa Pattan to inspect Bore Well.
The Director after leaving Pattan straightaway drove to Sopore wherein she inspected Mini Tractors and few prominent Dairy Units. She also inspected the Composite Poultry Sale Center at Sopore.
After her Sopore trip, the Director visited Binner to innagurate the first Silage Making Machine in Valley.
The benificiary demonstrated the machine in front of Director, CAHO, Other officers and farmers.
The benificiary informed that apart from utilising machine for his livestock, he is earning handsome money by supplying the Silage and Chaffed fodder to farmers.
After visiting all the units established under various schemes in the district, the Director finally took a meeting with Officers of the district including Dr. Andrabi (CAHO) at District Veterinary Complex Baramulla.
The Officers projected their demands in the meeting. The Director gave a patient hearing and promised to resolve the problems in a time bound manner.
Before departing she inspected various sections of District Veterinary Complex.
Dr. Andrabi and other officers thanked her for the visit.
