Srinagar, Dec 18: A local Hizbul Mujahideen militant who was critically injured in a gunfight yesterday with security forces in Gund-Baba area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district succumbed today at SMHS Hospital.
Sources said that the militant who was critically injured during the encounter yesterday succumbed to his injuries here at SMHS hospital.
Pertinently, encounter was started between militants and security forces at Gund Baba Khaleel area of southern Anantnag district in which one local Hizbul Mujahideen militant identified as Zaheer Abbas Lone, resident of Pulwama was arrested in injured condition and was later shifted to SMHS Hospital.
