  2. Advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava pointed out that the relief being sought is not indefinite. He shared the developments till date and also points out that various exams like AIBE, ICAI were postponed. Even board exams of CBSE and ICSE, as well as NIOS, were cancelled.
  3. The hearing began and Justice Mishra noted that everything cannot be shut due to Corona. “Life cannot be stopped. We have to move ahead with all safeguards and all. NEET, JEE Main 2020 Exam: Case against the postponement

Filed a few days after the request to postpone the entrance examinations, the petitioners have requested the Supreme Court to mandate that the medical and engineering entrance examinations be conducted as per the scheduled date. In their petition, the Gujarat Parents Association has pointed out that already a lot of precious academic year has been lost. Also, the constant delay in the examination cause mental stress to students.

As for the entrance examinations, in a similar relief requested, Karnataka HC recently refused to intervene for delaying COMED-K entrance examination in Karnataka where about 1 lakh students appeared. Gujarat CET is also scheduled to be conducted on August 24. Meanwhile, National Testing Agency, NTA has not released the admit card for JEE Main 2020.

JEE Main 2020 examination is scheduled from September 1 to September 6. NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2020 is scheduled for September 13, 2020. The admit cards are expected to be released 15 days ahead of the exam dates.
