Sopore, June 12 : Amid COVID crisis, the Sopore town in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district is without Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) from last one week, thus leaving the entire populace to lurch at large.
Several villages of Sopore including main town Sopore, Zaingeer, Khue, Wadoora Payeen, Achabal and other areas suffer in absence of the ADC
Locals said, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore Ashiq Hussain Lilly was transferred as Member J&K Service Selection Board (JKSSB) on June 06, 2020. “Since the transfer of erstwhile ADC, the post has been lying vacant,” locals said.
Trader Federation President, Hashmatullah Qazi told KNO that they are suffering in absence of the ADC, saying that they are being forced to approach the higher authorities for their works.
Sopore Civil Society, Bar Association, Teachers forum and others here have appealed the government to look into the matter and appoint a new ADC at an earliest –(KNO)
