Poonch, June 10 : The residents of Surankote on Wednesday staged a protest against revenue department officials including Tehsildar Surankote against what they termed as ‘unsatisfactory performance’ in preparation of domicile certificates.
Protesters assembled outside revenue complex Surankote and raised slogans against the officials including Tehsildar Surankote.
While talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), they said that the process for preparation of domicile certificates is going on in a sluggish manner in the area with concerned officials least bothered towards the plight of masses.
“The officials of the administration even misbehaved with people and are using unacceptable language,” they said and demanded immediate transfer of all the concerned officials of Tehsil administration Surankote.
Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Surankote, Saleem Qureshi refuted the allegations and said, “I appeal the complainants to lodge a formal complaint in my office and I assure that probe will be concluded within half an hour,” SDM said—(KNO)
