Baramulla, June 06: A baby died inside the womb of mother due to the maternal period of pregnant lady was over – as the doctors denied medical treatment of a pregnant woman from Baramulla district at Govt.Medical College Baramulla on the pretext of awaited second test report taken for covid19 alleged her husband.
As per the family of pregnant lady resident of Chichilora Kunzar area, the sample for Covid-19 of the patient was taken before Eid which was reported negative but despite the maternal period of lady already being over the doctors at GMC Baramulla allegedly denied to give her medical treatment as the result of second sample for Covid-19 was awaited, and today the mother lost her child.
The family of the admitted lady said Kashmir News Bureau that during routine checkup she was tested before Eid for Covid-19 that was reported negative but one of the lady from Srinagar in that group of 11 was tested positive and the pregnant women from Chichilora, was shifted to quarantine centre at Dhobiwan for precaution.
“On first June, her second test was taken at Tangmarg Hospital but till date health department has failed to issue her report despite the maternal period of pregnant lady is over, I requested doctors to consider the earlier test report of Covid-19 but nobody listens us, nobody comes to see the patient, she was not feeling well as her condition is deteriorating and alas! we lost our baby today,” alleged husband of the admitted lady.
When the Kashmir News Bureau contacted CMO Baramulla, he refused to talk about the matter and said,” I have nothing to do with the matter,the concerned Medical Superintendent of GMC is the concerned authority”.(KNB)
