Pulwama, June 05 (KNO): The suspension of internet services in Pulwama district after the killing of three militants in Kangan area on Wednesday has badly affected the students as they are unable to attend online classes.
The students told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the internet continues to remain suspended in the district due to which online education has come to abrupt halt.
The students expressed concern over the suspension of internet service time and again as they are unable to attend online classes amid the Covid-19 lockdown.
They said that it was already difficult for them to take online classes due to low speed internet because of 2G mobile internet services in JK and now that too has been snapped.
Several teachers were using the Zoom application to teach students in a group, besides sending notes and assignments through email and WhatsApp, however, the internet suspension has led to the suspension of online classes as well.
“Our studies now largely depend on the internet for online classes as teachers share video lectures and notes through online mode. The internet suspension has affected badly impacted our studies as we are not able to take our online classes,” said Muzamil Ahmad, a student from Pulwama district.
Students and teachers have appealed the authorities to restore internet services in the district at the earliest so that they can resume their online classes—(KNO)
