Ganderbal, Apr 20: The two persons who tested positive for COVID-19 in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district were on Monday discharged after successfully recovering from the Covid-19 disease.
An official told—news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that two patients, including a women, from Guzhama village who were admitted to Government district hospital Ganderbal, were discharged today after completing mandatory quarantine.
Their two tests reports confirmed that they are no more infected, the official said. “At the time of their discharge from the hospital, the doctors and other health staff clapped and cheered for them,” he said.
Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shafaqat Hussain said the two patients were released and sent home after results came out negative today. “It is a matter of great pleasure that no new positive case has been found in our district for the last three days,” he said.
“We hope that the number of positive patients will not increase in coming days in the district,” he added. He however said that strict restrictions will continue in the district till further orders as a precaution. According to officials, after the discharge of the two patients, the district now has 12 patients in its isolation facilities.
