Our officials ensuring J&K residents don’t face any difficulty
Srinagar, April 18: Lieutenant Governor Girish Chander Murmu’s Advisor Farooq Khan Saturday said that let the things settle a bit normal, every single J&K stranded resident would be evacuated.
He clarified that the protocol which is being followed country wide can’t be violated at this juncture.
Advisor Khan said that government at present is ensuring that not a single citizen of J&K, no matter wherever they are at present, sleeps hungry or faces any difficulties.
“We are in constant touch with the governments of each state and union territory where Kashmiri people are stranded. Our priority is that they don’t face any issue or shortage of food or any other essential,” he said.
“As such there is no complaint from anywhere with regard to any difficulty to JK people barring a few elements who want to make an issue out of it by demanding evacuation.” the advisor said.
Asked whether the J&K government was planning to evacuate residents of the UT especially Kashmiris stuck in various parts of country, he said that entire country is following a proper protocol and that can’t be violated.
“Let the lockdown ease and we will ensure every J&K citizen in need of evacuation is send back to his home. But as of now, entire country is abiding one protocol and that can’t be violated,” he said.
KINS reached out Advisor Khan at a time when there were reports that 1000 Kashmiri labourers stuck in various parts of country have decided to go on hunger strike.
The government’s clear response comes also at a time when there are 35000 Kashmiri labourers stranded in various parts of country, over 700 families of Kashmiri businessmen stuck in Delhi and 276 students in an army facility at Jaisalmer, Rajshatan, who have demanding immediate evacuation.
Dozens of Kashmiris who are stuck in Goa had also demanded that they be brought back to home.
LG Murmu’s another Advisor KK Sharma also said that State Labour Secretary has been designated as the Nodal officer for ensuring that J&K residents stuck in various parts of country won’t face any difficulties. “We are trying out to resolve the issues of all those who are stranded in various states of India,” he said.(KINS)
