Srinagarย April 24: Srinagar Police has intensified its crackdown on drug trafficking by deploying a Narcotic Dog Squad across multiple locations in the district under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
During the special drive, trained sniffer dogs have been stationed at key checkpoints to detect concealed narcotics and assist in the swift identification and apprehension of drug peddlers. Officials said the use of these highly trained canines has significantly strengthened on-ground enforcement and improved real-time detection capabilities.
The initiative forms a crucial part of a broader strategy aimed at dismantling narcotics supply networks and creating a strong deterrent against drug-related activities in the region.
Alongside enforcement measures, awareness campaigns are also being conducted to educate the public and promote collective action towards a drug-free society.
Srinagar Police reiterated its commitment to eradicating the drug menace and urged citizens to cooperate and share any actionable information to help curb the growing threat.
