Srinagar, April 14: The annual Hajj Pilgrimage from Srinagar is set to commence from April 18, with a total of 4,704 pilgrims scheduled to depart in multiple batches.
Authorities have finalized all necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth and hassle-free journey for the pilgrims. In a significant step towards enhancing coordination and safety, each pilgrim will be provided with a SIM-enabled smartwatch. The device will facilitate real-time tracking, communication, and efficient management throughout the pilgrimage.
Officials stated that the initiative aims to improve monitoring and assist pilgrims in case of emergencies, while also ensuring better coordination between Hajj authorities and ground teams.
Comprehensive arrangements, including transportation, accommodation, medical facilities, and security measures, have been put in place to ensure a comfortable and safe pilgrimage experience.
The administration has urged all pilgrims to strictly adhere to the guidelines and cooperate with officials for the successful conduct of the Hajj Journey
