Kulgam, July 10: Traffic Cop among four individuals injured after a speeding motorcycle carrying three persons hit him during routine duty at Kilam area of Kulgam district on Thursday, officials said.
An official told that, the motorcyclist — carrying two pillion riders — hit the traffic cop identified as Fayaz Ahmad, a resident of Ganderbal, leaving him and the three others injured.
The injured motorcyclist and his pillion riders were identified as Hilal Altaf Itoo, Haziq Rashid Itoo, and Muzamil Ahmad Itoo — all residents of Mandhole.
All four injured persons were immediately shifted to PHC Kilam for initial treatment and were later referred to GMC Anantnag for further medical care.
Police reached the spot soon after the incident and took cognizance of the matter. Further investigation is underway.
