New Delhi: A person died and six others suffered burn injuries in a fire that broke out on Thursday at a factory in northeast Delhi’s New Mustafabad area. According to Delhi Fire Service (DFS), it received a call regarding fire at about 1218 hrs in New Mustafabad area. Responding to the call, six fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames. The fire fighters found that seven persons were trapped inside the building that comprised of ground plus first floor. Immediately, they were rescued, but out of seven injured, one person was declared dead and one was in serious condition, said DFS. A woman who sustained burn injuries, was in a serious condition, said Delhi Police. According to police, it surfaced that the factory, which manufactured body of coolers, was being run from the building. Last week, a massive fire broke out in a building near Delhi’s Mundka Metro Station, in which 27 people lost their lives, while over a dozen got injured. Three persons, including the owner of the building, were arrested after the incident. This is the seventh fire incident within seven days, just after the Mundka fire tragedy. UNI CM RJ
