Verinag, Dec 5: Stating that the ongoing DDC elections are the best opportunity to correct the mistakes committed by BJP, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A.Mir urged the people of J&K to join hands to defeat the BJP and its associates to ensure end to politics of opportunism & political vendetta unleashed by BJP against the party(Congress).
Congress Party never compromised on people’s urges and aspirations for power, it will continue to work in that direction, besides safeguarding their interests, Mir said.
G.A.Mir was addressing a largely attended election rally at Qamer in Veerinag of South Kashmir today in which thousands of people from entire Shahbad Bala were present.
Addressing the rally JKPCC President said that people of Jammu and Kashmir will never forget as to how BJP victimized and punished them under the garb of development, besides abandoning them of their just rights inorder to fullfill their agenda based on lies and deceit.
People have rejected the divisive agenda of BJP in true sense, the DDC elections are bound to change the political scenario in J&K, which is being used as experiment ground by the latter (BJP) inorder to fulfill their agenda Mir added and appealed the people to come out in larger numbers to defeat the BJP for failing them (people) on all fronts.
Your vote has the power to change the direction, Mir told the largely attended gathering of people and appealed them not to miss this opportunity and rise to the occasion to elect the true and honest candidates in these elections, who would be able to safeguard your interests, Mir told people.
JKPCC President also cautioned them about the various players sponsored by BJP to impact the ongoing DDC elections, which was going to disappoint them and urged people to remain vigilant to ensure that the anti-people and divisive policies of saffron party were defeated, in the interests of better tomorrow.
Congress Party believes in transparent and principle based politics, won’t compromise on the urges and aspirations of the people Mir said and reiterated his appeal to people to strengthen the Congress by casting their vote in favour of its candidates in entire J&K, for the fact, Congress Party is capable enough to fight against the anti-people designs of BJP and other forces, which are hell bent upon to mislead and betray them for power, but this time they won’t be able to hoodwink them, as that, they stand fully exposed before the people, PCC President said.
After addressing election rally at Qamer, Mir led a mega roadshow and urged the people to strengthen & support Congress Party for development and better future of J&K.
Senior Party Leader Ch. Akhter Kassana (DDC Candidate) Ali Mohd Mantoo, Mohd Iqbal Mir, Block Presidents, Prominent party activities, Youth Congress activists also addressed the rally(KNS).
