Pakistani senator Muhammad Ali Saif said that Pakistan should wage ‘Jihad’ in Afghanistan and Kashmir for its independence from India.
New Delhi: A video clip of Pakistani Senator Muhammad Ali Saif is going viral on Twitter where he has said that Pakistan should wage ‘Jihad’ in Afghanistan and Kashmir for its independence from India.
The senator, during his address in Senate, slammed his fellow Senators for protesting against wars.
“For the sake of Allah and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), please read History. Wage Jihad in Kashmir for its independence, Pakistan Army will support you. Wage Jihad in Afghanistan, nobody is stopping you,” Naya Daur quoted him as saying.
‘Pick up the gun, fight in Afghanistan and Pakistan army will stand behind you’
Taunting his colleagues Saif said that they start protesting even before the initiation of war.
“Pick up the gun, fight in Afghanistan and Pakistan army will stand behind you,” he said.
His statement led to widespread criticism on social media.
Pakistani politician Ali Wazir condemned the statement saying, “We condemn the statement of Senator Barrister Saif in Senate of Pakistan that Pakistani extremist elements must enter in Kashmir and Afghanistan to fight while Pakistan Army will provide backup support to these elements.”
Human Rights activist Gulalai Ismail said, “In the month of Ramzan, we witnessed fundraising spree of Jihadi terrorist organizations and now in the Parliament Senator Barrister Saif is calling for the Jihad in Kashmir and Afghanistan. Can someone please open eyes of this government to the current realities of the world?”

One user wrote, “A Pakistani Senator @SenatorSaif bashing his fellow senators, and calling them to wage jihad against Afghanistan. Dear world, @UNHumanRights @UN @FATFNews @FATFWatch @StateDept for how long you will enjoy the Afghan’s bloodshed on the hands of Pakistani?”
Pakistan’s ISI-backed LeT and Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) are involved in planning and conducting attacks in Afghanistan in close coordination with the Haqqani network.
The Haqqani network, which has the backing from the Pakistani security establishment, is an Afghan guerrilla insurgent group and is considered one of the most sophisticated insurgent organizations. It has been conducting attacks on US-led NATO forces and the Afghan government.
